Islamabad, July 03, 2023 (PPI-OT): According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 82% Pakistanis believe overseas Pakistanis should get the right to vote.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the country, was asked the question “Some people say that Pakistanis living abroad should also have the right to vote in the general elections of Pakistan, while some people say that only people living in Pakistan should have the right to vote in the general elections. What is your opinion?” In response, 82% said overseas Pakistanis should get the right to vote, 10% said overseas Pakistanis should not get the right to vote, and 8% said they do not know or gave no response.

Question: “Some people say that Pakistanis living abroad should also have the right to vote in the general elections of Pakistan, while some people say that only people living in Pakistan should have the right to vote in the general elections. What is your opinion?”
