Lahore: Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir TI participated in an online meeting with the Chairperson of the Punjab Higher Education Commission and Vice Chancellors from several universities. The meeting aimed to address significant academic reforms and development strategies in higher education.
According to University of Engineering and Technology, the discussions focused on a range of topics including the establishment of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Vice Chancellors and a performance-based ranking system for universities. The meeting also examined the monitoring of agriculture programs and considered a proposed 3-credit hour course on artificial intelligence.
Further agenda items included the recognition of certifications as course credit hours, the development of research clusters, and discussions on grant-in-aid and budget allocations. The meeting represents a concerted effort to enhance the quality and effectiveness of higher education institutions in the region.
