UNPF Delegation Discusses Youth Development with Punjab Sports Secretary

Lahore: A United Nations Population Fund (UNPF) delegation met with Muhammad Ali, the Secretary of Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab, at the Punjab Stadium to discuss strategies for youth development in the region. The meeting highlighted potential collaborative efforts to enhance educational and health opportunities for the younger generation.

According to Sports Board Punjab, the UNPF delegation included Madam Tania Durrani and Zohra Jabeen. They were joined by Additional Secretary Sports Shabbir Hussain Cheema, Director Sports Rana Nadeem Anjum, and Director Admin Abid Shaukat. During the discussions, Secretary Muhammad Ali emphasized the significant role played by the Punjab Youth Affairs Department in supporting youth through various initiatives, such as youth centers and e-libraries across several districts.

Muhammad Ali expressed the department's commitment to guiding the youth in partnership with the private sector. He noted that a comprehensive policy could be developed in collaboration with UNPF to address key areas such as education and health. The primary aim is to equip the younger generation with diverse skills, contributing to the country's development.
