University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Hosts Walk to Mark 75 Years of Pak-China Diplomatic Relations

Lahore: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore organized a walk to commemorate 75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. Led by UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Rabbani, the event paid tribute to the longstanding friendship between the two countries, with participation from faculty members, students, and staff.

According to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the walk commenced from the Vice-Chancellor's office, proceeding around the city campus to express solidarity with the People's Republic of China. In a related development, a delegation from FrieslandCampina, headed by Dairy Development Director Syed Saud Ahmad Pasha, visited UVAS to discuss strengthening collaboration between industry and academia. The discussions centered on initiatives aimed at enhancing the dairy sector through farmer training, research and development, and potential international collaborations.

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Masood Rabbani highlighted UVAS's recent initiatives for livestock sector development. The meeting was attended by former Animal Husbandry Commissioner Dr. Muhammad Akram, Director of UVAS Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization Dr. Ferhan Jamil, and FrieslandCampina Project Manager Dr. Humaira Iqbal.
