Two-Day Training at IIUI Focuses on Enhancing e-Procurement Capacity

Islamabad: A two-day training session concentrating on the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority's e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (PPRA e-PADS) was recently conducted at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI). The event, which took place at the Smart Lab of Faculty Block-3, was attended by 25 officers and staff members and facilitated by Engr. Syed Asif Kamal.

According to International Islamic University Islamabad, the training aimed to enhance institutional capacity in online public procurement. Participants were equipped with detailed knowledge on e-PADS procedures, digital procurement stages, document preparation, bidding mechanisms, and compliance requirements. The session highlighted the upgraded features of EPADS Version 2.0, including improved system performance, enhanced user interface, real-time monitoring of procurement activities, centralized record management, and strengthened regulatory compliance.

The training also covered digital workflow automation, secure online bid submission, evaluation tracking, and audit-ready documentation. Engr. Syed Asif Kamal used practical examples and live demonstrations to facilitate a clear understanding of effective and transparent procurement practices aligned with modern regulatory standards.

A question-and-answer session concluded the training, providing participants with an opportunity to clarify technical and procedural queries. The session was regarded as beneficial and practical, with attendees expressing the importance of ongoing professional training to further bolster transparency, efficiency, and accountability within the university. This initiative underscores IIUI's commitment to institutional development and improved governance practices, aligning with its vision of administrative excellence.
