Tariq Sarwar Discusses Development Strategies in 91st PCB Podcast Episode

Lahore: Tariq Sarwar, a Board of Governors member of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and President of the Bahawalpur Region, was featured in the 91st episode of the PCB Podcast. He addressed several topics concerning Pakistan cricket, including the domestic structure and initiatives aimed at enhancing opportunities for emerging cricketers.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, Sarwar highlighted the recent performances of the Pakistan men's team and discussed the criticism the team has faced. He emphasized the significance of supporting the players and PCB leadership during challenging periods. Sarwar detailed PCB's investments in infrastructure and facilities across the country, noting a significant expansion in school cricket programs from 400 schools last year to approximately 1,400 this year.

Sarwar elaborated on the pathway from school cricket to U15, U17, and U19 levels, stressing the development of High Performance Centres and age-group academies. He noted the opportunities being created for top performers in domestic cricket and the importance of preparing various types of pitches to strengthen the domestic structure and broaden the pool of players for Pakistan.
