Student Affairs Committee Concludes Imam Appointments for University Hostels

Islamabad: The Student Affairs Committee at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) has finalized the appointment of imams and assistant imams for the Masajid within the university's student hostels. This initiative, chaired by Dr. Saleh Sulaiman A. Alghofaili, seeks to enhance religious activities and community engagement among students.

According to International Islamic University Islamabad, the nomination process began a month ago with an online application accessible to the university community. It targeted students with strong religious competence, Qur'an memorization, and recitation skills, encouraging them to apply for the opportunity to lead prayers in the hostels.

The final selection involved personal interviews and evaluations that tested Qur'an memorization, recitation proficiency, and leadership in congregational prayers. This rigorous process concluded with the appointment of imams and assistant imams for a six-month term. They are tasked with leading daily prayers and Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan, aiming to create a spiritually enriching environment.

The committee emphasized its dedication to a merit-based selection process, aligning with IIUI's mission to promote religious activities and enrich the spiritual lives of its students.
