Lahore: The 1st All Pakistan Youth Karate Championship 2025 began at the Nishtar Park Sports Complex in Lahore, marking a significant moment for young martial artists across the country.
The opening ceremony featured Mr. Muhammad Khizar Afzaal CH, Director General of the Sports Board Punjab, as the chief guest. Over 500 young athletes from across Pakistan are participating in the event, showcasing their skills in categories for boys and girls under the ages of 10, 12, 14, and 16.
The Pakistan Karate Federation (PKF) aims to promote karate among the youth, encourage healthy competition, and identify promising talent who may represent the nation in future competitions both nationally and internationally.
During the ceremony, the Director General of Sports Board Punjab commended the efforts of the Pakistan Karate Federation in organizing the championship. He also spoke about the impact of karate on developing discipline, teamwork, and resilience in young athletes.
The championship is scheduled to run until August 10, with participants competing for top accolades and national recognition.
