Dubai: The Women's Asia Cup 2026 is set to commence in the United Arab Emirates, marking the tenth edition of the tournament. The competition will be played in the T20 International format, with Sri Lanka entering as the defending champions after their victory on home soil in 2024. The teams are divided into two groups, with Group A featuring Hong Kong, Thailand, India, and Pakistan, while Group B includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and host nation UAE.

According to International Cricket Council, the tournament will open with a Group A match between Hong Kong and Thailand on August 28. The following day, Sri Lanka will face the UAE in Group B's first contest. India, the most successful team in the tournament's history, will begin their campaign against Thailand on August 30. Bangladesh will play Indonesia on August 31, and Pakistan will compete against Thailand on September 1. The highly anticipated clash between India and Pakistan is scheduled for September 5, marking their first encounter since the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026. The top two teams from each group will proceed to the semi-finals, with the winners advancing to the final on September 13.

Squad details for each participating nation have also been released. Hong Kong's team will be led by Natasha Miles, while Harmanpreet Kaur captains India. Thailand's squad is headed by Naruemol Chaiwai, and Fatima Sana leads Pakistan. In Group B, Bangladesh is captained by Nigar Sultana Joty, with Chamari Athapaththu leading Sri Lanka. The UAE squad is captained by Esha Oza, while Indonesia's team details have yet to be confirmed.
