LAHORE: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) has inaugurated its 5th free treatment camp for sacrificial animals. The camp, which will run from June 2 to June 8, 2025, aims to provide veterinary care in collaboration with various pharmaceutical companies, at the outdoor hospital on the city campus.
Prof. Dr. Aneela Zameer Durrani, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Science, led the inauguration ceremony. The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ijaz, Chairman of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, as well as Dr. Jawaria Ali Khan, Incharge of the Outdoor Hospital and Chief Organizer of the camp.
The initiative is expected to assist many livestock owners by offering free veterinary services during the designated period. Faculty members, students, and representatives from pharmaceutical companies were present to support the camp’s operations.
The camp underscores UVAS’s commitment to animal health and community service, particularly during a time when the demand for healthy sacrificial animals is high.
