Sargodha: Two teams from the University of Sargodha (UoS) have secured first and third positions in the divisional essay writing competition organized by the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) at the University of Mianwali. The event was part of celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.

According to University of Sargodha, UoS Team A achieved the first position, while Team B secured the third position. A team from the University of Mianwali claimed the second position. Each UoS team consisted of two students who were selected through an internal competition with 185 registered participants. They represented their university at the divisional-level contest.

The essay competition saw participation from two teams each from UoS and the University of Mianwali. Participants were given a topic at the venue and had one and a half hours to complete their essays. The entries were evaluated by a jury from the University of Mianwali based on relevance, quality of arguments, analytical approach, originality, and organization and language.

The event aimed to provide students with a platform to demonstrate their writing, analytical, and critical-thinking skills while engaging with themes related to Pakistan-China relations.
