UoS Students Explore Diplomatic and Cultural Landmarks in Beijing

Beijing: A delegation from the University of Sargodha visited Beijing, engaging with key cultural, historical, and educational sites as part of the Pak-China Youth Cultural Experience Summer Camp 2026. The group explored prominent locations such as the Embassy of Pakistan, China Media Group, and the Great Wall of China.

According to University of Sargodha, the delegation received a briefing at the Embassy of Pakistan on the bilateral relations between Pakistan and China and the significance of educational and cultural exchanges. The briefing also covered the functions of Pakistan's diplomatic mission in China. At China Media Group, the participants observed China's media landscape and participated in a program celebrating Pakistan's Independence Day, which underscored the cultural ties between the two nations.

The visit to the Great Wall of China offered the students insights into the architectural and historical importance of this landmark. The delegation, headed by Prof. Dr. Tahir Mumtaz Awan, included faculty members and students involved in the China Fellowship Programme. Participants expressed that the visit to Beijing was both informative and memorable, enhancing their understanding of China's history, culture, and media.
