UoS Opens BS Textile Design Thesis Exhibition Featuring 38 Students’ Work

Sargodha: The University of Sargodha's Institute of Art and Design has launched a three-day BS Textile Design Thesis Exhibition 2026, displaying the creative projects of final-year students. The event, inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Qaisar Abbas, features the thesis projects of 38 students from the final semester. Dean Faculty of Arts and Humanities Prof Dr Shamshad Ahmad attended the inauguration as a guest of honour.

According to University of Sargodha, the exhibition, organized by the Institute of Art and Design, showcases a variety of textile products and design concepts crafted by students with guidance from the institute's textile faculty. The work on display includes textile printing, weaving, embroidery, appliqué, and other contemporary design applications aligned with current industry trends.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Qaisar Abbas commended the students for their creativity and professional skills, highlighting the exhibition as an effective platform for young designers to present their talent and link academic learning with industry needs. The event drew attention from designers, industrial representatives, and academic experts, who engaged with the participants about emerging opportunities in the textile sector.

Visitors from technical and vocational training institutions also attended and acknowledged the quality and innovation evident in the projects. The exhibition, open to students, industry professionals, and the general public, will run for three days.
