Sargodha: The University of Sargodha and the Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (CNF) are intensifying their efforts to combat drug abuse among youth. In a recent meeting, Lt. Col. (R) Jawad Masood, Director of the CNF Sargodha Division, and Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of Sargodha, discussed strategies to foster a drug-free and safe campus environment.
According to the University of Sargodha, both parties underscored the necessity of raising awareness about the detrimental effects of drugs and the importance of maintaining a strict no-smoking policy on campus. Prof. Dr. Awan emphasized the university’s commitment to preventing drug abuse through educational seminars, awareness sessions, and proactive student engagement in counseling and healthy activities.
Lt. Col. (R) Masood acknowledged the university’s initiatives and assured continued collaboration from the Counter Narcotics Force with educational institutions to broaden anti-drug campaigns. He stressed the significance of joint awareness initiatives and training sessions to effectively involve students in these efforts.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to enhance institutional collaboration, aiming to safeguard young people from drug abuse and foster a healthier academic environment.
