Turbat: Students from the University of Turbat's Department of Natural and Basic Sciences visited the District Headquarters Hospital in Turbat for an educational trip aimed at enhancing their practical learning. The visit, which took place on April 25, 2026, offered the students insights into the hospital's COVID-19 and PCR laboratory facilities.
According to University of Turbat, the visit was overseen by Dr. Haneef Ur Rehman, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Engineering and IT, along with Dr. Jahangir Khan, the head of the department, and faculty member Mr. Jeand Ibrahim. The students engaged with various laboratory processes, gaining hands-on experience with modern diagnostic procedures such as PCR techniques and GeneXpert technology.
During the visit, Dr. Haneef Ur Rehman also met with Dr. Waheed Buledi, the Medical Superintendent of DHQ Hospital Turbat. Their discussion centered on enhancing academic collaboration between the university and the hospital, with a focus on clinical training and applied medical sciences. Dr. Waheed Buledi expressed his commitment to providing internship opportunities for university students in the hospital's laboratories, and both parties agreed to explore the launch of a Medical Laboratory Technology diploma program in collaboration with Makran Medical College.
According to University of Turbat, the institution, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, is dedicated to offering students practical learning opportunities to complement their academic education. These efforts aim to prepare graduates who are well-equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
