Turbat: Senior students from the University of Turbat's Department of Sociology have concluded an eight-week internship program at key institutions across Balochistan. These institutions include the Kech Thalassemia Care Centre, the Social Welfare Department, the Balochistan Institute of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, the National Rural Support Program, and the People's Primary Healthcare Initiative. Certificates of completion were awarded by KTCC Chairman Arshad Arif and officials from the Social Welfare Department, including Imtiaz Sakhi, Muhammad Essa, and Shakir Ali Shakir.
According to University of Turbat, Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Kamal Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Dr. Tahir Hakeem, and Chairman of the Sociology Department Dr. Nadil Baloch expressed gratitude to the leaders of these institutions for their collaboration. The university's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, emphasized the institution's commitment to offering practical experiences that augment academic learning and nurture socially responsible graduates. Dr. Hasan also mentioned plans to expand such programs to other departments, enhancing the university's engagement with the local community.
