University of Turbat MPhil Scholars Achieve Milestone in Balochi Studies

Turbat: Four MPhil scholars from the Institute of Balochi Language and Culture at the University of Turbat have successfully defended their dissertations, marking significant advancements in Balochi academic studies. The event took place on August 29, 2024, showcasing the culmination of extensive research efforts by these scholars in the field of Balochi language and culture.

According to University of Turbat, the scholars — Ms. Zakira Begum, Ms. Saqiba Mir, Mr. Manzoor Ahmed, and Ms. Bibi Lucky — have been under the tutelage of Dr. Abdul Rauf Raz and Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Shad. The defense was conducted with the participation of esteemed external examiners from various institutions, including Dr. Rahim Bakhsh Mehr from the University of Gwadar, Dr. Zia-ur-Rehman from Allama Iqbal Open University, Dr. Surriya Banu, and Dr. Abdul Razzak from the University of Balochistan, who joined via video link to evaluate the dissertations.
