University of Sargodha Hosts Blood Donation Camp for Thalassemia Patients


Sargodha: The University of Sargodha has organized a blood donation camp in a bid to support Thalassemia patients by ensuring a steady supply of blood. The initiative, held in collaboration with Noon Business School, Give Life Foundation, and Sundas Foundation, saw active participation from students and faculty.



According to a statement by University of Sargodha, the camp was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, alongside several key figures including Prof. Dr. Irfan Shehzad, Dr. Rehana Ilyas, Dr. Mehmood-ul-Hassan, Usman Haseeb, and Mukhtar Ahmed Mirza. These individuals emphasized the humanitarian importance of blood donation and encouraged the university community to contribute to this cause.



Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas addressed the participants, underscoring the significance of blood donation as a humanitarian duty. He stressed that saving one life holds immense value and urged students, faculty, and staff to participate in the initiative.



Prof. Dr. Irfan Shehzad and other prominent figures at the event highlighted the critical role of blood donation in saving lives, particularly for those suffering from Thalassemia. They commended the collaborative efforts of the affiliated organizations in organizing the event.



Usman Haseeb, representing Give Life Foundation, encouraged collective responsibility in maintaining a consistent blood supply for Thalassemia patients. The camp experienced enthusiastic involvement from students, who donated blood in large numbers to support the initiative.
