University of Maryland Offers Elective Rotations for Dow University MBBS Students

Islamabad: Dow University of Health Sciences has announced an opportunity for its third and fourth year MBBS students to participate in elective rotations at the University of Maryland, USA, in March and April 2025. This initiative, aimed at enhancing the clinical skills and global exposure of its students, is not a funded program.

According to Dow University of Health Sciences, The elective rotation program is open to current third and fourth-year MBBS students who meet specific eligibility criteria. Priority will be given to applicants with existing U.S. visas or citizenship during the selection process. All interested candidates must submit their applications by August 15, 2024, both in soft and hard copy to the Office of Directorate of Global Engagement at Dow Medical College.

The selection process will be based on academic merit, including GPA and academic record, as well as performance in a selection interview conducted by the University of Maryland. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews and are required to sign an undertaking to return to Pakistan immediately upon completion of the rotation.

Required documents for application include copies of transcripts from the first to third year of MBBS, certificates of participation in extracurricular activities, a valid passport, and a passport-sized photograph.
