Haripur: The University of Haripur has introduced a QR-based payment system and a Point of Sale (POS) machine on its campus in collaboration with Bank AL Habib Ltd., Haripur Branch. This initiative positions the university as the first public sector institution in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to integrate both POS and QR-based systems, aligning with the provincial government’s push towards cashless Person-to-Government transactions.

The inauguration ceremony took place at the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat, attended by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shafiq Ur Rehman and other university officials. The event also saw representation from Bank AL Habib Ltd., with Booth In-Charge Mr. Israr-un-Nabi present.

The Vice Chancellor acknowledged the efforts of the Finance Team in advancing the university’s financial services, emphasizing the importance of transparency, efficiency, and convenience for the campus community.

This development represents a significant step in enhancing secure and efficient financial transactions for the university’s students, staff, and stakeholders.
