University of Haripur Advances Academic and Campus Development in Syndicate Meeting

Haripur: The University of Haripur held its 36th Syndicate Meeting, chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Shafiq ur Rehman, to address key academic, administrative, and developmental matters. The meeting included prominent attendees like Justice (Rtd.) Muhammad Ghazanffar Khan and Prof. Dr. Abid Farid, among others.

A significant outcome from the meeting was the endorsement of recommendations from the 23rd-26th Selection Boards, focusing on faculty recruitment and promotions. This decision underscores the University’s emphasis on transparency and academic excellence.

The Syndicate also approved the reports of the 14th and 15th Selection and Promotion Committees, reinforcing performance-based faculty development and career progression.

Additional resolutions included the confirmation of minutes from the previous meeting, approval of Academic Council and Investment Committee proceedings, and considerations regarding faculty rejoining and contract extensions for visiting faculty.

The formulation of new University rules and plans for the demolition and reconstruction of the old mosque and residential units to upgrade campus facilities were also sanctioned.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Shafiq Ur Rehman praised the constructive contributions of the Syndicate members. He emphasized the University’s commitment to enhancing governance with transparency and merit, aiming to improve academic quality and facilitate faculty development. The focus remains on creating a research-driven, student-centered environment to meet national and global challenges.
