University of Education Hosts Pink Ribbon Youth Awareness Program 2025

Lahore: The University of Education, Lahore, held the Pink Ribbon Youth Awareness Program 2025 at its Main Campus in Township, aiming to raise awareness about breast cancer. The initiative focused on early detection and collective support for those affected by the disease.

The event commenced with an awareness walk and a display of awareness posters, where students shared creative messages about breast cancer prevention. Students from the BS 5th Semester presented plays and dialogues emphasizing self-examination, timely treatment, and emotional care for patients.

A highlight of the program was an awareness talk by Dr. Maria Ahmad, a medical specialist from Pink Ribbon Pakistan. She provided guidance on preventive practices and shared insights into early diagnosis.

UE Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Aqif Anwar Chaudhry attended as the chief guest. He praised the organizers and students for their involvement in the cause and urged the youth to continue promoting health awareness and serve as ambassadors of hope.

The event also featured a poster and quiz competition, distribution of educational materials, a short drama performance, and a fundraising campaign for Pink Ribbon Pakistan. The theme “Say Less, Care More” underscored the day’s activities. The program concluded with the distribution of souvenirs by Prof. Dr. Aqif Anwar Chaudhry, a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Zahra Noreen, and a group photograph with participants.
