Chitral: Students from the University of Chitral are participating in a four-day training session on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), facilitated by the Ministry of Planning and Special Initiatives. This training, part of the YoUNGs Initiative for SDGs, aims to enhance students’ understanding of SDGs and develop actionable plans for their achievement both on campus and beyond.
According to University of Chitral, the training session includes 10 student ambassadors from the university, nominated by various departments to represent each SDG. The session started today and will conclude on August 13, 2024. The YoUNGs Initiative (University Network for Sustainable Development Goals) connects students from 140 universities nationwide, promoting collaboration and networking to achieve these goals.
The focal person of the program, Mr. Fathul Bari, conducted an introductory session before the training began, emphasizing its significance for the participants and the institution. The student ambassadors expressed strong enthusiasm and commitment to the training, indicating their readiness to engage in related campus activities in the future.
