Chitral: The University of Chitral’s Department of Botany held its third Board of Studies meeting, where significant advancements were made in the department’s academic offerings. Chaired by Dr. Muhammad Romman, the meeting resulted in the approval of the Ph.D. program in Botany, marking a pivotal step for the institution’s research and academic growth.
In alignment with the Higher Education Commission’s Undergraduate and Graduate Policy 2024, the meeting conducted a thorough review of the Ph.D., MPhil, BS, and AD programs in Botany. The revised courses, unanimously approved by the board, aim to enhance the department’s commitment to academic excellence.
The meeting was attended by internal members, including Dr. Muhammad Sufaid Khan, Dr. Ishfaq Hameed, and several lecturers, who were present in the conference room. External members, such as Prof. Dr. Waheed Murad, Dr. Sahar Naseem, and Dr. Fayaz Ali, participated online, providing valuable insights.
