Lahore: The University of Central Punjab has launched a faculty development course titled "Supervising Projects and Dissertations" aimed at enhancing postgraduate research supervision. The 16-contact-hour course is led by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh and aligns with the HEC Graduate Education Policy (GEP) 2023.
According to University of Central Punjab, the course addresses a range of topics crucial for effective thesis supervision and research planning. It also includes modules on acquiring external research grants, understanding patents and commercialization, managing plagiarism, and responsibly using Generative AI in academic research. This initiative seeks to equip faculty members with the necessary skills to guide postgraduate students under the updated educational guidelines.
