UET Lahore Hosts Annual Students Societies Induction and Membership Drive 2026

Lahore: The Directorate of Students Affairs at the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore recently held its Annual Students Societies Induction and Membership Drive 2026. The event was marked by the active participation of students and the presence of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Shahid Munir, who visited various stalls and acknowledged the enthusiasm of students in joining the societies.

According to University of Engineering and Technology, UET currently supports 42 active student societies that offer platforms for students to enhance their creative, academic, leadership, and extracurricular skills. Over 600 events have been organized by these societies over the past two years. During the event, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Shahid Munir emphasized the university's commitment to developing not only competent engineers but also responsible and well-rounded individuals who can contribute positively to society.

Prof Dr Shahid Munir further stated that the university would continue to support student societies as they play a crucial role in fostering personality development, leadership skills, and social engagement among students. He also announced the introduction of special medals to be awarded to outstanding student societies during the university's convocation, a decision warmly received by the students. The membership drive witnessed significant student interest, with many registering for societies aligned with their interests.
