Faisalabad: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has inaugurated two advanced computer laboratories at its Faisalabad Campus, enhancing educational and research opportunities for students in fields such as Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. The facilities, inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, feature 100 computers and aim to equip students with the skills required to meet future technological demands.
According to University of Engineering and Technology, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the evolving role of computer labs as hubs for education, research, and innovation in the context of rapidly advancing digital technologies. He stated the university's commitment to producing graduates who can contribute effectively to both national and global technology sectors. The new labs are part of this vision, providing students with hands-on experience in modern computing and research.
During his visit, Prof. Dr. Munir also inaugurated a Girls' Gym and Common Room, highlighting the university's focus on creating a conducive environment for female students. In addition, he participated in a plantation drive, inaugurating an Urban Forest Site as part of the campus's Green Campus initiatives. The Vice Chancellor concluded his visit with a meeting with faculty members, commending their contributions and encouraging further advancements in research and teaching.
