Turbat: The University of Turbat’s Quality Enhancement Cell, in partnership with the Divisional Monitoring Officer at Makran, organized a training workshop aimed at enhancing education standards in colleges affiliated with the university. The event took place on December 20, 2025, at Government Atta Shad Degree College in Turbat.
The workshop was attended by Program Team members from Government Atta Shad Degree College and Government Girls Degree College, Turbat. Dr. Riaz Ahmed, the Director of QEC, served as the primary resource person, guiding participants through the Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement standards and the Self-Assessment Report template.
Dr. Ahmed emphasized the significance of these standards in improving academic outcomes and ensuring programs align with institutional and market needs. He highlighted that adherence to these guidelines is essential for achieving program objectives and fostering student success.
Prof. Barkat Ismail, the Divisional Monitoring Officer, expressed gratitude to the university and QEC leadership for their support in enhancing educational quality at affiliated institutions. He stressed the importance of strong coordination between the university and its affiliated colleges.
Ijaz Ahmed, UoT’s Director of Public Relations, echoed the university’s commitment to improving teacher capacity and aligning programs with the Higher Education Commission’s guidelines. Under Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan’s leadership, the university aims to collaborate with the Government of Balochistan’s Higher Education Department to develop a skilled workforce.
The workshop participants actively engaged in discussions, expressing eagerness for more frequent capacity-building sessions. They provided feedback on practical challenges faced and suggested strategies to overcome obstacles, reflecting a collective effort to meet institutional goals.
