Turbat University Holds Session on OGDCL Talent Hunt and Scholarship Programs

Turbat: The Directorate of Student Affairs at the University of Turbat organized an awareness session on the OGDCL National Talent Hunt Program (NTHP) in collaboration with Sukkur IBA University. The session, which took place on January 28, 2026, aimed to inform students from various departments about the fully funded scholarship opportunities available through the program.

According to University of Turbat, Waqar Farooq, a representative from IBA Sukkur, outlined the details of the scholarship program, which targets youth from underprivileged areas in Pakistan. The initiative has allocated 75 seats specifically for students from Balochistan, including those from Turbat, Panjgur, and Gwadar. Selection for the program will be based on a merit-cum-poverty criterion, and successful candidates will begin with a Foundation Semester before enrolling in BS/BE degree programs at Sukkur IBA University. The scholarship provides comprehensive support, covering tuition fees, transportation, books, hostel accommodation, monthly stipends, and laptops for top performers.

Applications for the program are open until February 7, 2026, with an entry test scheduled for February 15, 2026. Eligible candidates include students who completed their intermediate education in 2023, 2024, or 2025. The session was moderated by Director of Student Affairs Chakar Hyder.
