Peshawar: The semifinals of the Shell Pakistan National Junior Squash Championship – 2025 have concluded, setting the stage for an exciting final round in Peshawar. The top performers in each category have secured their spots in the finals, which are scheduled to begin tomorrow morning.
According to a statement by Pakistan Squash Federation, the boys’ U-13 category saw Faizan Ali Khan from the Army defeat Syed M Hussain from Punjab with scores of 11-7, 11-6, 11-9. In the same category, M Fawad Khan from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa triumphed over fellow KP player Danish Sikandar in a close match, finishing 16-14, 11-4, 8-11, 6-11, 11-8.
In the boys’ U-15 category, Shahzeb from the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) won against Shahnawaz Butt from Punjab with scores of 11-7, 11-9, 11-3. Meanwhile, Huzaifa Shahid from Sindh bested Mamoon Khan from PAF, securing victory with scores of 11-7, 11-5, 11-8.
The boys’ U-17 matches were dominated by PAF players, with M Yahya Asad defeating Muhammad Ali 11-6, 11-5, 11-3, and Mustafa Irfan overcoming Mubeen Khan 11-6, 11-4, 11-7.
In the girls’ U-15 category, Sehrish Ali from KP advanced with a walkover against Nimra Batool from Sindh. Mahnoor Ali, also from KP, beat Damia Khan from Sindh with scores of 11-3, 11-4, 11-8.
The finals will commence at 10:00 AM tomorrow, with media members invited to cover the closing ceremony and witness the culmination of the championship.
