Student Societies Enhance Skills and Confidence, Says Punjab University VC

LAHORE: Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali emphasized the critical role of student societies in boosting students' knowledge, confidence, and professional skills during the opening ceremony of the All Pakistan Media Fest. According to University of the Punjab, the three-day event, organized by the Pioneer Media Society and the Department of Student Affairs, commenced at Faisal Auditorium with notable attendees including the German Ambassador to Pakistan, Ms. Ina Lepel, and university officials.

Prof Dr Muhammad Ali highlighted the importance of co-curricular activities in universities alongside academic learning. He praised the efforts of Dr Shahzeb Khan, Director of Student Affairs, for enhancing the university's global image through effective leadership of student societies. The Media Fest, featuring participation from over 350 students across Pakistan, aims to offer a platform for showcasing talents through 13 competitions. The event includes diverse activities such as musical programs, poetry recitals, and media skill contests, providing participants with valuable learning and networking opportunities.
