Larkana: The Sindh Theatre Festival Larkana 2025, a collaborative effort by the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, and the Arts Council Larkana, concluded successfully after a 10-day run. The festival aimed to promote cultural events and showcased local talent, with the attendance of Chairman District Council Larkana Ejaz Laghari and other key figures.
Chairman Laghari addressed the closing ceremony, urging for the expansion of cultural events like this festival into various tehsils. He highlighted the importance of such initiatives in discovering new artists and producers, and expressed his desire to bring these vibrant cultural activities to more residents of Larkana.
President of Arts Council Larkana, Ismail Jatoi, praised the dedication of the participating artists and thanked the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi for their support. He congratulated writers, directors, and performers for their contributions and emphasized the hope for continued collaboration in delivering engaging cultural experiences.
Over the course of the festival, various plays were staged daily at the Arts Council Larkana. The lineup included “Ishq Fishq” by Wajid Azad, “Daywidhi” by Amjad Abro, “Kati a konhay doh” by Ufaq Basheer Channa, among others. The event concluded with the directors of the plays receiving performance shields in recognition of their work.
