KARACHI: Two prominent Sindh ministers, Ziaul Hassan Lanjar and Saeed Ghani, are set to inaugurate a newly established Education Complex in Mehrabpur today. The complex, developed by the non-profit Green Crescent Trust (GCT), aims to provide educational opportunities to 600 children from disadvantaged communities.

The facility marks a significant milestone in GCT’s ongoing efforts to deliver education to underserved areas in Sindh. With 31 years of experience, GCT has been a key player in charitable educational initiatives, operating 173 schools across remote and impoverished regions of Sindh. Currently, the Trust educates 34,660 students, with more than 40 percent being girls. In Mehrabpur, GCT manages 11 schools, serving over 2,200 students.

Zahid Saeed, CEO of GCT, expressed gratitude towards donors, patrons, the provincial government, and the Sindh Education Foundation for their support in enrolling out-of-school children. He acknowledged the dedication of Ministers Lanjar and Ghani for contributing their time to inaugurate the new school, highlighting their commitment to education for deprived communities.

Saeed also recognized the efforts of the Sindh government and Education Minister Sardar Ali Shah in reforming school education across the province. The inauguration ceremony is expected to draw attendance from government representatives, development partners, philanthropists, and community stakeholders.
