Islamabad: In a significant political development, Shakeela Waheed, the former Secretary Information for the Women Wing of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has announced her decision to join the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Shakeela Waheed expressed her confidence in the leadership of the PPP, describing the party as a symbol of the struggle for public rights. Her move marks a notable shift in the political landscape, as she transitions from a prominent role within PTI to aligning with PPP.
Welcoming Waheed into the fold, PPP Secretary General Nayyer Hussain Bukhari emphasized that under Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s leadership, the party stands as a beacon of hope for the populace. Bukhari noted that the inclusion of individuals like Waheed is a strategic addition that will bolster the party’s Women Wing.
