LAHORE: The funeral prayer for Haji Ghulam Ghaus, a senior leader of Minhaj-ul-Quran, took place in Lahore’s Fatehgarh area. Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, led the prayer. The ceremony was attended by numerous leaders and workers from Minhaj-ul-Quran and Pakistan Awami Tehreek, alongside attendees from different sectors.
Dr. Qadri, while leading the prayer, paid tribute to Haji Ghulam Ghaus’s dedication to Islam, knowledge promotion, and the mission of the Prophet Muhammad. He emphasized the loss felt by Minhaj-ul-Quran due to Ghaus’s passing. Dr. Qadri also extended condolences to the family, praying for strength and patience for them.
Prominent figures at the funeral included Khurram Nawaz Gundapur, Secretary General of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Deputy Secretary General Allama Rana Muhammad Idris Qadri, and Iqbal Hussain Bajwa, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore, among others.
In a related event, Muhammad Yousuf Minhajian, editor of Minhaj-ul-Quran Magazine, mourned the death of his father, Haji Khadim Hussain. Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed his condolences, praying for forgiveness and elevation of Haji Khadim Hussain’s rank.
Other leaders, including Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, also conveyed their sympathies to the bereaved family. The funeral of Haji Khadim Hussain saw the attendance of Deputy Secretaries General and several members of Minhaj-ul-Quran.
