Islamabad: The Scotland Pakistan Scholarships, a program dedicated to enhancing higher education access for Pakistani women and girls, is now accepting applications for the academic year 2024-25. The initiative, which supports graduate studies in various critical fields, aims to empower women to achieve their academic and professional goals across Pakistan.

According to Pak NGOs, the scholarship is available for women pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degrees at any Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized university in Pakistan. Eligible bachelor’s degrees include a four-year program in Education, Sustainable Energy, Food Security and Agriculture, or Health Sciences. For master’s candidates, fields of study extend to STEM in addition to the aforementioned areas.

The Scotland Pakistan Scholarship Scheme provides comprehensive support covering tuition, university hostel costs, and travel expenses for students residing in on-campus hostels. This support is pivotal in mitigating financial barriers that often prevent talented women from accessing higher education. The eligibility criteria for the scholarship ensure that applicants have a confirmed offer from an HEC-recognized university and reside within Pakistan.
