Islamabad: 150 communication and media studies students from the University of Sargodha recently concluded an immersive internship with the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), offering them unparalleled insights into Pakistan’s military communication strategies.
The program provided undergraduates with practical training in strategic communication, social media engagement, public relations, and digital narrative development. It equipped them with skills essential for success in the dynamic media landscape.
Participants engaged in actual media operations, observing the intricate workings of the armed forces’ communication endeavors. They also toured military installations, witnessing the operational readiness of troops and gaining a deeper appreciation of their role in national security and ideological defense.
The internship aimed to link academic knowledge with practical experience, emphasizing the military’s significance in protecting Pakistan’s borders and interests. By interacting with officials and participating in media activities, the students learned how communication tools and media approaches reinforce the national defense narrative.
This joint effort between the University of Sargodha and ISPR underscores the increasing collaboration between educational institutions and national bodies, preparing graduates for meaningful contributions to Pakistan’s communication sector.
