Lahore: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore hosted its 38th Annual Mushaira, marking it as the first major literary event of 2026. Organized by the university’s Literary Society, the gathering featured prominent poets from across Pakistan and was attended by a large audience, including students and faculty.
The event was presided over by Dr. Khurshid Rizvi, an esteemed poet and scholar. Dr. Shahid Munir, Vice Chancellor of UET, attended as the Chief Guest. Poets such as Farhat Abbas Shah, Wasi Shah, and Shaheen Abbas delivered performances that captivated the audience.
Vice Chancellor Munir praised the Literary Society and the Directorate of Student Affairs for organizing the successful event. He highlighted the significance of Mushairas in promoting the Urdu language and in contributing to the intellectual identity of civilizations.
