Regional Drama Festival Captivates Audiences with Insightful Performance

Rawalpindi: On the second day of the Regional Drama Festival, organized by the Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi, the drama “Aik Jhoot Sao Jhoot” was presented, engaging a large audience with its portrayal of the social consequences of dishonesty. The play, crafted by writer and director Anjum Malik, featured performances by esteemed artists, including Kashif Rana, Shahzad Pappu, and Sewera Shahzadi.

The drama explored the theme of how telling lies can lead to a cascade of problems, resonating with the viewers. Director Arts Council emphasized that the festival aligns with the Punjab government’s vision to foster fine arts and provide quality entertainment to the residents of the twin cities.

The festival is set to continue until June 5, with a new drama and team taking to the stage each day, offering fresh stories and performances. The Punjab government’s efforts received commendation from attendees, underscoring the community’s appreciation for the cultural initiative.
