Lahore: The HBL PSL X playoffs are set to kick off at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, beginning on Wednesday, 21 May. The top-ranked Quetta Gladiators will challenge Islamabad United, who finished second, in the much-anticipated Qualifier. The match is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m., with the toss at 7 p.m.
The playoffs will continue with Eliminator 1, featuring Lahore Qalandars against Karachi Kings, on Thursday, 22 May, also starting at 7:30 p.m. The winner of this match will face the losing side from the Qualifier in Eliminator 2, set for Friday, 23 May. The final showdown of the tournament is slated for Sunday, 25 May.
Defending champions Islamabad United’s Sahibzada Farhan currently leads the batting charts with 394 runs from 10 matches. His performance includes one century and two half-centuries. James Vince of the Karachi Kings follows closely, having scored 374 runs, which includes one century and three half-centuries. Fakhar Zaman of the Lahore Qalandars has notched up 369 runs, featuring four half-centuries.
On the bowling front, Mohammad Abbas Afridi from the Kings has claimed 17 wickets, leading the charts. Abrar Ahmed from the Gladiators, Jason Holder from United, and Hasan Ali from the Kings are tied with 15 wickets each.
