LAHORE: Punjab University successfully conducted its second undergraduate admission entry test, drawing a record-breaking 36,511 candidates, marking the highest participation in the university's history. The event surpassed all previous records and was held across various examination centers nationwide.

According to University of the Punjab, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, alongside Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mahmood Saleem and other senior officials, visited examination centers to supervise the arrangements. Dr. Muhammad Ali noted that this unprecedented number of candidates reflects public confidence in the university, which is known for its high-quality education at an affordable fee structure. Examination centers were set up in major cities including Lahore, Islamabad, and Karachi, among others, to accommodate candidates from across the country. Special provisions, such as guidance stalls and a shuttle service on the New Campus, were made for the convenience of candidates and their parents. The university spokesperson stated that a total of 129 centers were utilized for the test, which is part of a seven-category system for undergraduate program admissions, contributing 25 percent to the admission merit. The test was conducted in two shifts to facilitate the large number of candidates.
