Punjab University to Host Largest Book Fair in Pakistan from October 15

LAHORE: Punjab University is set to host Pakistan's largest book fair from October 15 to 17, 2026, at its New Campus. The book fair aims to foster a culture of reading and literary engagement among the public.

According to University of the Punjab, a meeting was convened under the leadership of Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mahmood Saleem to finalize the arrangements for the event. Key figures such as Chief Librarian Muhammad Asif Khan and DG Prof Dr Rehan Sadiq were present, along with other officials. Responsibilities were allocated to ensure the seamless execution of the fair, focusing on publisher participation, book displays, and visitor amenities.

The university administration highlighted the success of the previous book fair, during which over 175,000 books were sold, marking a significant achievement in promoting literary culture. The upcoming event seeks to build on this success, continuing the tradition of encouraging reading within the community.
