LAHORE: Punjab University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology (ICET) convened a Board of Studies meeting to revise curricula for its undergraduate and postgraduate programs and to introduce new academic offerings. According to University of the Punjab, the meeting was attended by ICET faculty and representatives from various universities and industrial consultants.

Director ICET, Prof. Dr. Syed Nadir Hussain, acknowledged the contributions of ICET alumni in enhancing laboratory facilities, highlighting the development of a medium-scale paint manufacturing plant, a solar power system, an ultra-filtration plant, and a process simulation lab. Additionally, he expressed gratitude to Fauji Fertilizer Company for upgrading ICET classrooms with smart LED technology.

The meeting agenda included revisions to the B.Sc. (Engg.) Chemical Engineering programs, and the introduction of a B.Sc. (Engg.) Food Engineering program, an M.S. in Process Safety and Management, and several certification courses. The Board of Studies approved the proposed curriculum changes and new program launches with some suggestions, commending the efforts of the Curriculum Review & Development Committee led by Dr. Ayyaz Muhammad.
