Punjab University Launches Tree Plantation Drive to Combat Climate Change

LAHORE: Punjab University has initiated a tree plantation drive, with Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali planting saplings at the Institute of Education & Research and Institute of Zoology. The event was attended by several university officials, including Prof Dr Muhammad Shahid Farooq, Dr Muhammad Islam, Prof Dr Nabila Roohi, and Prof Dr Muhammad Akbar Khan, as well as faculty members and employees.

Prof Dr Muhammad Ali emphasized the importance of planting trees to mitigate the impacts of climate change. He encouraged the university community, including teachers, employees, and students, to actively participate in the effort by planting and nurturing trees in their vicinity.
