Punjab University Launches Online Internship Program with ASEAN Nations


LAHORE: Punjab University inaugurated an ‘Online Internship’ program in collaboration with ASEAN countries, aiming to foster educational and cultural linkages between the regions.



According to University of the Punjab, the ceremony witnessed participation from prominent figures, including Indonesian Ambassador Lt. Gen (r) Chandra Warsenanto, Thai Ambassador Rongvudhi Virabutr, and others from ASEAN embassies. Ambassador Warsenanto highlighted the initiative’s potential to strengthen student relations, noting that numerous Pakistani students are already pursuing education in ASEAN countries. He also praised the bravery and training of Pakistani soldiers based on his experiences during UN missions.



Prof Dr. Muhammad Ali, Vice Chancellor of PU, emphasized the importance of connecting ASEAN and PU students, especially in science and technology. He expressed gratitude to the ASEAN Community Islamabad and underscored the role of scientific collaboration in modern survival. The program aims to enhance professional skills among PU students through online learning opportunities.
