LAHORE: A meeting of the Punjab University Admission Committee, led by Pro Vice Chancellor and Chairman Prof. Dr. Mahmood Saleem, was held to discuss strategies for increasing student enrolment by 4,000 to 5,000 in the upcoming academic session of 2026-27. The committee's discussions centered on identifying academic programs capable of accommodating additional students.
According to University of the Punjab, the meeting involved deans and heads of relevant academic units who were tasked with pinpointing departments and programs with the potential to admit more students, contingent upon the number of applicants. The committee reviewed current admission processes and deliberated on ways to improve enrolment figures while upholding academic standards and utilizing institutional capacity efficiently.
