LAHORE: Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali inaugurated an exhibition of BFA Textile Design students’ theses at the Punjab University College of Art and Design on Thursday. The event highlighted the students’ work, showcasing innovative textile products and artistic creations crafted from various materials.
The opening ceremony saw the attendance of notable figures including PU Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, Dean Faculty of Arts and Humanities Prof Dr Mahboob Hussain, Principal CAD Dr Samina Naseem, and In charge Dr Asna Mubashara, alongside faculty members and students. This gathering underscored the significance of the students’ contributions to the textile design field.
In his address, Prof Dr Muhammad Ali praised the students’ skillful approach to textile design, noting that their creations rival those of professional designers. He emphasized the market potential of the students’ ideas and encouraged female students to consider entrepreneurship by establishing their own companies.
