Lahore: Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Musrat Jamshed Cheema, in a recent statement, highlighted the increasing oppression and violence by what he termed ‘fake rulers’ against PTI. He argued that these actions stem from the rulers’ fear, as PTI workers and supporters continue to rally behind the party’s founder, Imran Khan, despite facing arrests and violence.
According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Cheema criticized the current leadership, accusing them of lacking commitment to the nation’s progress and using their power to suppress political dissent. He expressed concerns over the government’s legitimacy, suggesting that their rise to power through dubious means has left them incapable of making significant decisions. Cheema’s remarks also touched on the broader dissatisfaction with the government, citing public rejection and continuous support for PTI rallies.
Cheema concluded his statement with a warning to the rulers, stating that history has shown that oppressive regimes tend to fall when they intensify their suppression. He called for recognition of this pattern and a change in approach by the current government.
