KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Karachi General Secretary Arsalan Khalid has expressed strong criticism of the Sindh government's handling of law and order in Karachi. According to a statement from PTI Media Cell, Khalid described the recent assault of a 15-month-old infant as deeply distressing and a reflection of the growing crime in the city. PTI Karachi has condemned the incident and called for immediate justice for the victim's family. Khalid accused the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) administration of allowing Karachi to become overrun by crime, with the police failing to maintain order.

Khalid also addressed the city's infrastructure issues, citing a collapse in basic services. Karachi's streets are reportedly overwhelmed with garbage, and the sewage system is dysfunctional, causing flooding on major roads. There is also a significant shortage of drinking water, with the government unable to curb water theft or ensure proper distribution. Additionally, the city's roads are deteriorating, leading to frequent accidents, and the promise of a modern public transport system remains unfulfilled.
