Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari conveyed his congratulations to Sudan’s Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, on Sudan’s Independence Day. In his message, Zardari highlighted the enduring ties between Pakistan and Sudan, emphasizing their shared values and Islamic heritage.
The president noted that the relationship between the two nations is characterized by trust and cooperation, with both countries supporting each other in international platforms. Zardari underscored Pakistan’s commitment to Sudan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, expressing solidarity with Sudan amid current challenges.
Zardari expressed a desire to enhance bilateral relations, focusing on political engagement, economic collaboration, and cultural exchanges. He reiterated Pakistan’s belief that continued dialogue would foster regional peace and prosperity.
President Zardari also extended his best wishes for Sudan’s continued peace and development, and for the well-being of Al-Burhan as he leads Sudan forward.
